Couple Kissing after Wedding, Isla Mujeres, Mexico
A couple kisses at sunset just after their wedding on Playa Norte on the tranquil island of Isla Mujeres (Island of Women), Mexico. The small island is only a 15 minute ferry ride from Cancun, but its peace and quiet make it worlds apart.

I was down in Isla Mujeres to photograph a friend's wedding in this beautiful, tranquil setting. As with much of Mexico, Isla Mujeres is a photographer's paradise: beautiful white sand beaches, stunning weather, and friendly people make it a great place to work. The wedding day was stunning, a semi-casual event on the shores of Playa Norte, the bride and groom barefoot in the Mexican sands.

After the ceremony, I was busy taking pictures of the Mariachi band playing for the guests when I glanced over my shoulder to see the stunning sunset that was shaping up. I quickly gathered my gear, asked the bride and groom to stand near the shore and do whatever came naturally...I adjusted my settings to silhouette the couple against the setting sun and snapped off shots. This was by far my favorite, and tender embrace after a joyous occasion.
