Firemen are lost in a tower of smoke at the Old Capitol Grill fire in Golden, Colorado, November 3, 2005.
This building was built in 1863 and served as the Territorial Capitol for Colorado until statehood was declared and the capitol was moved to Denver.
Thanks to quick response and bravery by the Golden Fire Department and those of surrounding communities, the Old Capitol Grill was saved. It is currently under reconstruction and will open again in the autumn.
